Love
“When I say it's you I like, I'm talking about that part of you that knows that life is far more than anything you can ever see or hear or touch. That deep part of you that allows you to stand for those things without which humankind cannot survive. Love that conquers hate, peace that rises triumphant over war, and justice that proves more powerful than greed.” ― Fred Rogers Love is complex, the underlying force of the universe some would argue. It is what brings oftentimes disparate elements together to form a functional whole. It is a principle that can be applied to the tiniest of particulate matter as well as to the vastness of the known universe. Nature, for me, has always been a manifestation of true love — I have always equated love with beauty, and it is this that I attempt to visualize with this piece. Love is strong — yet vulnerable and fragile. Photography: René V. Steiner
